Welcome to Sarah's Siopa. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. About Sarah's Siopa

Sarah's Siopa (sarahssiopa.ie) is an online marketplace operated by Sarah's Siopa Ltd, connecting buyers with independent Irish makers and gift-givers. We are a platform only — individual makers list, fulfill, and ship their own products.

2. Using Our Platform

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. By using the platform you represent that you meet this requirement.

2.2 Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@sarahssiopa.ie of any unauthorised use.

2.3 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you
• Use the platform to solicit buyers or makers outside our system to avoid fees

3. Purchases & Payments

All prices are displayed in Euro (€) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. When you purchase from a maker, you enter into a contract with that maker — Sarah's Siopa facilitates the transaction but is not the seller.

Platform commission (currently 10%) is deducted from each sale before the maker receives their payout via Stripe Connect.

4. Auto-Send Feature

The Auto-Send feature allows you to authorise Sarah's Siopa to charge your saved payment method on a specified date to purchase a gift for a saved occasion. By enabling Auto-Send you give explicit consent for this recurring charge. You will receive a reminder email 24 hours before any charge, with a link to cancel. You can also cancel at any time from your Occasions dashboard.

5. Returns & Refunds

Each maker sets their own returns policy. Details are shown on the product page and in your order confirmation. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases of standard goods. Personalised or perishable goods may be exempt — check the maker's policy before purchasing.

To raise a dispute, contact us at hello@sarahssiopa.ie and we will liaise with the relevant maker.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sarah's Siopa platform (design, copy, branding, illustrations) is owned by or licensed to Sarah's Siopa Ltd. Maker product content remains the maker's property; by listing on the platform they grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Irish and EU law, Sarah's Siopa is not liable for: the quality, safety, or legality of maker products; disputes between buyers and makers; or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
