Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains how Sarah's Siopa uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use them.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary (no consent required)
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled:
- sb-auth-token (Supabase) — stores your secure session so you stay logged in. Expires when you sign out or after 1 week of inactivity.
- siopa.cookie.v1 — stores your cookie consent preference (accepted / declined). Expires after 1 year.
2.2 Analytics (consent required)
If you accept analytics cookies, we load Plausible Analytics. Plausible is a privacy-first, GDPR-compliant analytics tool:
- It does not use cookies or store personal identifiers
- It does not track you across websites
- It does not share data with advertising networks
- Data is aggregated and anonymised — we see page views and referrers, not individuals
Even though Plausible is cookieless, we ask for your consent in the spirit of full transparency.
3. Managing Your Preferences
When you first visit the site, a banner will ask for your consent to analytics. You can change your preference at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in.
4. Third-Party Services
The following third parties may set or access cookies/storage as part of our service:
- Stripe — payment processing; their cookies are governed by the Stripe Cookie Policy
- Supabase — authentication session storage
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy. The "last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be communicated via the consent banner.
